Debris
CLOSELimburg, The Netherlands
The population in Limburg will decrease close to 30% in the next few years due to aging and the mass immigration to big cities. This is leaving big social housing from the 1960's empty and ready for demolition all over The Netherlands!! However, the environmental impact this would have is beyond imaginable. Therefor the reusing of the waste and debris of this buildings is crucial to maintain the values with which this buildings where created
BRX
BRX, developed by Pieter Scheer from the enterprise Düsseldorp, is a product derived form construction waste for new buildings. It's a sustainable, ready for dissasembly, product from granulated concrete. It's circular economy values make it a perfect example of what debris can become.
